The product production squad is in full swing with shirts and cups ordered and much more on the way. with the aid of the history group Gerard and I are going to piece together a timeline that will be posted on the walls of the dining room for all guests to enjoy. Erin will be helping with this as well. We have decided to split up the duties: Gerard with the community history, Erin will do the Club history, and myself doing the Baltimore sports history.
We are planning to do posters through Common Vision which Erin has been in touch with if I’m not mistaken. Here is a list of some of the more memorable dates in the Colts History and Baltimore sports:
September 27th, 1953- the Baltimore Colts earn their first win over the Chicago Bears with a 13-9 stunner.
1956 Season - Johnny Unitas steps in for the injured George Shaw, winning only 4 games leaving the Colts with a 5-7 record.

handling the Giants of New York with a 31-16 finish.

Playing in Miami and heavily favored to win over the New York Jets, the Colts do not hold up to the odds and lose in what is known as the biggest upset in NFL history 16-7. The NY Jets were offensively manned by Joe Namath who promised a victory.
1970 – the Colts yet again make it to the big show, again in Miami where they square off with the Dallas Cowboys. Also known as the “Blunder Bowl” there were 11 turnovers between the two teams. The Colts would capitalize on a Dan Reeves (Former Atlanta Falcons coach) fumble and win off a Jim O’Brien 32 yard field goal with five seconds remaining in regulation.
1973 - Johnny Unitas’s career comes to a close after 18 years in the NFL, 10 Pro Bowl appearances, over 40,000 yards thrown, and 290 touchdown passes. He was 40 years of age when he retired and
was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1979.

Ray Lewis was named defensive MVP and Baltimore's defense set a NFL record by allowing only 970 rushing yards the entire season. They also set a 16 game record by allowing only 165 total points. They would go on to beat the New York Giants by a score of 34-7.
